bad tree work
This hawthorn tree had becoming heavily infested with ivy, which harbours insects and fungi. This tree had rotted at the base, although the huge bracket fungi were not immediately apparent due to the thick ivy. The weight of the ivy and the rot eventually brought down the tree onto a garage housing the clients car. The fragility of the garage roof combined with the heavy weight of the crown made this a difficult and somewhat adrenaline fuelled removal. However, accurate assessment and cutting enabled us to take this tree down with only slight further damage to the roof. (We removed the downpipe prior to the felling). Inaccurate assessment could easily have sent the crown through the garage onto the car within.
This huge sycamore tree, measuring approx 70’ x 40’ was in the corner of a small terraced garden in London, overshadowing it’s garden and those of all the neighbours. The garden measured approx 20’ x 15’. This tree was carefully dismantled, branch by branch, and lowered down into the garden, before being reduced further to allow access of the branches through the house. The site was completely cleared of all the tree waste to allow the new owners the chance to start their garden renovation.
